Intend’s first dropper seatpost is the Elevator, a cable-operated model built around friction reduction and straightforward function. The initial version offers 190 mm drop in a 31.6 mm diameter, with travel reducible to 120 mm in 10 mm steps.
Fit comes first
The post measures 534 mm overall including its actuator. That is not the same as insertion depth, so use the manufacturer’s full dimension chart when checking your frame and saddle height. A single available diameter also makes compatibility a clear first filter.

Small details inside
Two PTFE bushings support the moving section, with the aim of reducing friction and the risk of binding under side loads. Intend uses suspension oil rather than grease inside the post and a hand-polished one-piece shaft.
The base is sealed. As the post compresses, retained air creates a progressive resistance near the bottom of the stroke, while the seal also helps keep water inside the frame away from the internals. The supplied report does not establish whether that progression is adjustable.

Intend describes the hydraulic cartridge as self-bleeding during use, intended to prevent the soft movement that can develop when air mixes with oil. That remains a design claim here, not an MTBSA long-term finding.
Buying from South Africa
The Elevator is made in Taiwan by a manufacturing partner. The supplied article does not give a confirmed price or local stock date. Before importing, check remote compatibility, service parts and warranty handling as well as the dimensions. This is a product introduction, without a fabricated ride score.
